WHAT WE DO

A. Lionel Weinberg, Q.C.

Len Weinberg is a senior partner at Myers Weinberg LLP, who is recognized for his considerable experience in transactional law in the areas of business contracts, corporate and commercial law.

He has facilitated the start-up of numerous new business ventures including the development of franchise programs, using his extensive background to ensure clients understand the nature of the business venture, that they have developed a business plan based on research and a feasibility study, and have a good grasp of what is involved in growing a successful business.

Len has developed a strong commercial law background through more than 40 years of practice (nothing beats experience!). A large part of his practice involves the purchase and sale of businesses (shares or assets), shareholders agreements, corporate/business reorganizations and family business succession planning. He advises clients on trade-mark law, franchising, product and service distribution and technology and patent licensing. His practice involves acting for commercial lenders, including banks and credit unions, as well as business and corporate borrowers.

His clients rely on his pragmatic, common-sense approach to problems, and proactive advice.

Len was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1981.
