The 2008 Mel Myers Labour Conference was held on Wednesday March 12th and Thursday March 13th at the Canad Inns Polo Park. The Annual Mel Myers Labour Conference is Manitoba's premier forum for bringing together union leaders and union-side labour lawyers to review and learn about current labour law topics, and to explore solutions to issues impacting the unionized workplace. In a "management-free" environment, knowledgeable individuals within their respective fields lead informative, hands-on sessions providing attendees with the necessary "know-how" and skills to help them deal with the diverse challenges facing unions and their member employees within today's workplaces. The conference is held annually and is a non-profit event with the net proceeds donated each year to a charitable organization which espouses economic and social justice and other worthy causes pursued by the labour community.
